MidNight Flight withHawkSkyWMM_0001.wmv

I was out flying one evening with my mother in law, and she is a sweetie and I had My favorite plane with me my HAWKSKY. Now this particular plane is made for gliding and not so much for areobatics so I was up at least 900 to 1000 foot and circling over head so I decided to extend my circles a bit more. Now picture this I'm in a beautiful soccer field with plenty of tarmac for me to make ground take offs, inthis case I didn't I hand launch it. But surrounding this beautiful ball park is about 20 thousand acres of cornfield. Well a storm was brewing and I knew it earlier with NOAA but went out anyway. I think you've already got the story, the wind over powerd my plane and controlls and it would go only one way.....you got it with the wind. But the funniest thing happend to me. I stopped running after my plane and just watched it from about 1000 feet and it was graciously making about 150 foot circles of it's own. And it finally landed, it looked like it was right on top of the corn and it was. Well I looked and could'nt find anything and I coverd about 500 acres where it looked like it landed, to make a long story short this went on from July 25 until August 15th. I walked in the cornfield and went about 6 cornrows down and looked to my left and there she was no damage or nothing, I washed her up real good and check all the electronics and replaced a buch just for safe measure. Well I'm back and excited. When you loose a plane it takes something away from you, and when you crash one there is always a remedy to fix it....................Enjoy Your Life..............Joe Connick
