at robotscience.co.za we are trying to stimulate kids to think about how they can help physically disabled people from the moment we start teaching them about electronics so they will become socially responsible robotics scientists and give back to society. this robot is using a microcontroller from parallax.com on a pc board desined and built by STEVEN WALGENBACH age 12 right here in South Africa. drive units are 12 dc motors with worm and spur gears and HB25 H-bridge controllers all controlled remotely by SONY tv remote following program by ANDY LINDSAY at PARALLAX inc
